My SAT I score was only 2180 in the second semester of 10th grade. I was really nervous then, but Mr. Ma told me not to worry. Taking his suggestion, I enrolled in the CCIS program at Stanford University in summer of 2007. I continued to receive coaching from ThinkTank Learning consultants in 12th grade, enrolling in PCAP. I was later admitted by Harvard University, and a full scholarship too! Thank you so much ThinkTank Learning.

The system of brainstorming, writing, editing, and receiving feedback was tough to adjust to yet ultimately helped me create a more extensive essay than I could have written by myself. My counselor certainly helped me brainstorm and uncover new angles to take on the prompts as we dug up remnants of my childhood experiences I would not have thought of myself. He also stayed up very late helping me edit my essays, and him adding another point of view on my writing was generally helpful. He helped bring out more of myself and my voice in the essays, thereby humanizing my application.

My counselor, Johnny, was extremely helpful to me during the essay writing process. I was impressed that he took time to get to know me better. I truly appreciate the one-on-one time that he spent with me, brainstorming essay topics. He really helped me to see my own life experiences from a different perspective. My counselor’s knowledge and point of view was very helpful when we revised my writing. Thank you so much for the real time feedback and for your dedication to helping students.

I was so overwhelmed by all the information that they were feeding me. How could I possibly keep up my grades while simultaneously participate in extracurricular activities and study for the SATs and ACTs? Think Tank Learning helped me to focus on my strengths rather than stress out about everything else. I found the service helpful. I definitely liked my counselor; Liz was very easy to talk to and she always made me feel comfortable. The college application process was extremely stressful; Liz helped to alleviate some of that stress. I will be attending UC Berkeley in the fall. Thank you Think Tank Learning for providing me with the PCAP scholarship!

Taking all of the practice tests helped me understand the test much better and made me more confident for the real SAT test. The in-class drills and homework drills were also very helpful.
At the beginning of the Boot Camp, I was not very confident about my SAT essays. I was able practice writing many essays at the Boot Camp, and the feedback I received from my writing teacher helped me a lot. I also learned how to think of good essay examples in a small amount of time through all the practice I had.
At the SAT Boot Camp, I learned many things that improved my Critical Reading section score as well. Something I learned that especially helped me was to scan the questions first for the passage-based reading questions. I first underlined the lines in the passage that the questions referred to, and then read the passage. By scanning the questions first, I was able to focus on the important lines of the passage, and I think this greatly helped my SAT Reading score.

It was certainly a great help for me, as the teachers were very helpful, professional, and encouraging. I learned many new test-taking tricks and ways to approach the SAT. Furthermore, I also got a lot of good practice, and they say practice makes perfect. With their great help, I managed to get a 2350 on the SAT I in November.
2012. I am definitely happy that I took this course.

Read MoreBetween the time of when I took my PSAT and my SAT, about the span of one year, my score improved more than 400 points. I ended up getting a 2300 on my SAT, but I would not have been able to achieve that score if it were not for ThinkTank Learning. The summer class I took spanned only for one month, but within that month we were taking a total of twenty hours of classes per week and three practice tests. After taking the classes, I felt so much more confidant and ready to take the test because I had more than adequate preparation. Because we took so many practice tests following the exact same format as the real test, I was accustomed to the exact outline of it. I was completely comfortable with type of questions, amount of questions, and time given because of the practice that I got through the summer classes, and I was able to improve my score with each practice test l took. The practice tests I took by myself at home only caused me to improve about 30 to 50 points, but once I took ThinkTank Learning’s SAT class, my score immediately shot up. I know some people who have been taking SAT classes for the whole year, but after taking only one month of these summer classes, I was able to achieve a 2300.
