Andrew Henrotin is a lifelong educator who has specialized in college preparation and college counseling over the last two decades. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s degree in Education Curriculum from California State University, Hayward, and a second Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania in Higher Education.

Before joining ThinkTank Learning, Andrew worked in student affairs at the University of Pennsylvania, served as the director of college counseling for a college preparatory boarding school, and was the founder and executive director for a non-profit college readiness and access organization. He began his 20-year education career as an English/History teacher and school district administrator.

Andrew’s counseling philosophy is based on developing personal relationships with his students and parents to understand their specific counseling needs and expectations. His ability to communicate with students from all backgrounds and identify their unique strengths, challenges, and college specifications helps them take full ownership of the college process and become the most competitive applicant possible.

Andrew’s comprehensive knowledge of current admissions trends in higher education and familiarity with both public and private colleges and universities nationwide, have proven to be an effective combination for his students’ admissions to the nation’s finest undergraduate and graduate schools. He has visited hundreds of college campuses throughout the country and has an excellent “feel” for finding the right fit for students. More than helping students simply “get in,” he is committed to preparing students for what they do in college and beyond.
