Ever wonder why you look like your parents? Ever wonder why you don’t look exactly like your sister? Biology is the science of life. In this class you will learn about the molecules and cells form you, your dog, and the invisible viruses that make you sick. 30 hours of classroom time will teach you to master all the details of biology, a science that resulted when a chemistry book and a history book collided while traveling through an inter-dimensional portal.
- As one of our most customized class offerings, the course content is based on the California State Standards for Biology Bay Area’s local high school curriculum. This course is designed to teach students topics from Biology Honor.
- Over the 15 sessions (2 hours/session), there will be two in-class quizzes and two take-home exams. Students will learn about: Biochemistry, ecology, the cell theory, mitosis and meiosis, cell respiration, photosynthesis, genetics, evolution, taxonomy, plants, and physiology.
- To further tailor the course, our expert instructors select the learning activities to match the needs and goals of their students in each class. By the end of the course, students will be able to answer biology questions in the real world.
